We also use PostHog, a product analytics service, only if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner that names it. Until then, and if you decline, our website loads nothing from PostHog and stores nothing for it; if you accepted before the banner named PostHog, PostHog stays off and the banner asks you again. Like Google Analytics, it runs only on our public pages. With your consent, PostHog keeps a random identifier and session data in your browser's local storage and session storage (it sets no cookie). It receives the page's path, any campaign tags in the link (utm_...), and the domain (not the full address) of the site that linked to us, plus your browser and device and your IP address, from which it may estimate an approximate location. It also records a few steps, without anything you type: opening the inquiry form, sending an inquiry (with the type of property, apartment or share house), sending the contact form, subscribing to the newsletter and sending a job application. It never receives your name, your email address or your messages, and session recording, heatmaps and automatic click capture are turned off. We use it only to count visits and see which steps people complete.
PostHog keeps this data, including your IP address, for 1 year, then deletes it.
You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of our public pages. Declining deletes the Google Analytics cookies and the data PostHog keeps in this browser for our website. Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage so the banner can remember it, and is never sent to us.
